For years now, Iceland has been at the forefront of rankings by the United Nations for being among the most advanced in terms of gender equality and women’s empowerment. As we enter a cultural climate that is perhaps simultaneously more progressive and regressive in certain ways, it is important to take a step back and look at the world with objective eyes. Multiple international award-winning professional snowboarder and known gender equality activist, Anne-Flore Marxer, decided to gear up with a full film crew in tow in order to take a refreshing look at what this means in the most tangible ways.

In the film, Marxer seemingly effortlessly combines her two passions, snowboarding as a way of celebrating life and raising the bar for women everywhere. The result is both an extremely inspiring adventure and much-needed dose of clarity on the issue as it relates to our lives. Feel free to revisit our conversation with Anne-Flore Marxer this past autumn and access the documentary online as of today. Cheers to this forward-looking warrior for women!
