Tuesday’s Tunes: Little Simz and Cleo Sol Bring It Together

Their latest single, ‘Selfish’, is the collab that we all need to vibe to today. And every day; these gals killed it.

bad girl | Cleo Sol | empowerment

It’s no secret that London-born rapper Little Simz has been crushing it this past year. With fiery singles like “Offence“, “Boss“, and “101 FM” giving her bad girl vibe new momentum, this latest single, “Selfish”, brings it all together with a softer edge. The message stays true to the Little Simz aesthetic, which proclaims her signature steeze in an empowering way while still remaining vulnerable and authentic.

Overall, this latest release gives fresh insight into Little Simz’ musical direction as an artist who can expand her own voice into different modes, with a similar sentiment coming through from her own experience. Although the atmosphere of the song favors serenity over intensity this time around, the insistent beat and melancholic realness still flows through. Fellow Londoner, Cleo Sol, features on the track and gives a fresh and airy vocal that fills the space in between Simz’ piercing prose.

Eyes and ears out for album three from Little Simz, out on March 1st and titled Grey Area. Preorder here.
