Dutch-Israeli-Moroccan singer, songwriter and producer, homegirl Donna Lugassy is back with a brand new single, “Coldest”, that speaks on the all-encompassing feeling of falling for a new boo. Connecting early influences from mainstream R&B, such as Mary J Blige, and Alicia Keys, hip-hop, and pop, Lugassy combines the effortless realness of vintage early 2000 staples while deriving her powerful message in the context of her own life.
There is a poetic quality to her lyricism which suits the upbeat and airily rhythmic flow to the song. The fully self-produced track is released in advance of her forthcoming self-produced, composed and mixed EP, Love & Breakups, an extension of her artistic journey exploring many different phases of romance, from a pleasantly impressionistic lens. This latest output of her romantic curiosity is not one to miss. Tune in!
