Party like the rich with Eryn Martin and her new single “Middle Class”

There are plenty of bummers in 2020, but Eryn Martin’s breakthrough into the international music scene isn’t one of them.

If you’re on the lookout for a new act to throw your love at, search no further: Influenced by artists like Missy Elliot, Timbaland and A$AP Rocky, Canadian artist Eryn Martin flavours her catchy pop music with tight hip hop beats. With “Middle Class”, she’s even added a bass-heavy house production to remind us of the good ol’ days, when the riskiest takeaway from a private party was the next-day hangover.

On the new release, Eryn Martin says: “It doesn’t matter how much money you have, it’s about how much fun you’re having. Shitty bars, and sketchy house parties will forever be my favourite memories. Reality is we’re broke but we party like the rich”

The 23-year-old artist started making music when she was just six. She developed her style with the help of GarageBand in high school, where she would layer her voice over A$AP Rocky and Clams Casino beats. A friend of hers posted one of her tunes online – fast forward to the year 2019, when her single “Ball” went viral.

While hitting ‘play’ on “Middle Class” for the fifth time, we’re pretty grateful for the friend who shared Eryn Martin’s talent with the rest of the world.

“Middle Class” and her previous singles “Blonde” and “Namesez” are all to be found on Eryn Martin’s forthcoming debut EP, set for release early next year.
