We asked a rad granny, Marcel Antognini, about her fondest memory.
They’re wiser than you, they’ve seen some crazy things and they don’t take nonsense from no-one. We had the pleasure of chatting with one of them, Marcel Antognini, as she told us about her fondest memory.
Marcel Antognini, 79. Proud mother of 4 children, grandmother of 8 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 2.
“One of my very first fond memories was probably when I was 6 years old back in the days when I was living in the Graubunden Alps, in Switzerland. I was going up in the mountains to help my grandparents during the summer. One of my tasks was to bring lunch to my grandfather. My grandma was preparing mixes of vegetable or milk soups (that I actually hated so much), putting it in a bucket with two spoons and I had to walk 30 min to join my grandpa in the fields with his cows. We would sit and eat together. I would help him chase the deserting cows and after a few hours of keeping him company I had to walk back home. I really liked my grandfather and I really enjoyed these moments together.”
