We’ve got the latest offering from GRETA FILMS, the London- and Barcelona-based filmqueens that do their thing for women, by women: BARE is a visual essay and an intimate portrait of women and non-binary people’s skin.

Celebrating the inherent beauty and emotional complexity of the outermost layer of our bodies. “We produce and create content through a journalistic lens in order to bring real women and their stories to the screen,” says the team at GRETA. “Our aim is to stay true to the narrative of the story and enable industry professionals to develop their personal stories in a collaborative way. Empowering filmmakers and storytellers with trust that there is an audience for all stories alike.”

Throughout a series of candid conversations in collaboration with Everyday Oil, this short film explores the lifelong journey of accepting what has been subjected as flawed or imperfect by bystanders, while debunking the impossible beauty standards that set us up for failure.

In the bravest and most vulnerable act of shedding their clothes, a group of women cast aside trauma, shame and fear by shining a light into the power of self-love, compassion and strength when it comes to their own skin. Check it out here:
