Anna Bu Kliewer’s Collages Are Deconstructing People and Reality

The art of cutting collages is certainly not dead.

Mixed media artist Anna Bu Kliewer is solid proof that creating collages doesn’t solely belong to your childhood art classes. Her analogue collage cutting is inspired by different realities, dimensions and the world we live in, resulting in collages that mix and match into new surreal content.

All of Anna’s collage material comes from thrift shops and flea markets, she told 10and5, giving old and forgotten pictures new life and leaving it to the audience to interpret the actual meaning behind the way humans, nature and objects merge in her work.
