Watch Laura Kaczmarek Talk Creativity and Crew Love in Our Short Film From Tel Aviv

You'll also see why Tel Aviv is sick AF from a skate crew's perspective.

A few months back, German photographer and skater Laura Kaczmarek headed down to Tel Aviv with her crew of besties, Heckmecks, as part of her collaboration with adidas Originals and Girls Are Awesome. Specifically, we’ve been working towards enabling Laura to publish her first photography book—traveling to multiple cities with Laura and crew to help her gather material and also tell her story. The book’s about to launch and you’ll be able to pick it up soon—but before that, get in the mindset by checking out our new video from Tel Aviv demonstrating exactly what makes Laura and crew special.

Throughout the video, you’ll hear Laura giving insight about her creative process, her love for architecture and why being in a tight-knit crew is so important to her work and identity. You’ll also get a sense of the magic that is Tel Aviv, highlighted by the infectious enthusiasm of Heckmecks and the local crew they met up with, Jerusalem Skater Girls. Throughout the video, you’ll see the two crews bonding, skating and exploring against a spellbinding contrast between ancient cobblestones and modern architecture.

Check it out, and keep your eyes peeled for more news about adidas Originals x Girls Are Awesome as well as Laura’s book.
